The Ghana Global Leadership & Doctoral Residency is a 10-day immersive international experience designed specifically for doctoral students. This program integrates academic engagement, global leadership exposure, and cultural immersion, providing students with the opportunity to engage directly with global leadership practices in a real-world setting. Participants will connect with faculty, international partners, and peers while advancing their doctoral journey through applied learning and global collaboration.

Who Attends:
Students enrolled in the PhD program may attend this residency as part of their required residency experience. Faculty and approved participants may also attend. The deadline to register for the trip is May 1 with full payment due by May 15.
Purpose
The Ghana residency is an international, in-person learning experience designed to complement and enhance the doctoral program. Its primary objectives are to apply leadership theory in a global context, strengthen cross-cultural research and ethical competencies, and provide meaningful engagement with international institutions, organizations, and communities.
This experience serves as a critical component of doctoral development by combining academic rigor with experiential learning, allowing students to connect theory to practice in a dynamic global environment.
Cost & Payment Information
Program Fee (Paid to Tiffin University):
- Double Occupancy (Shared Room): $1,850
- Single Occupancy (Private Room): $2,450
What’s Included:
- Lodging accommodations

Payment Schedule:
- Deposit: $750 (Non-refundable, secures placement)
- Payment due in full by May 15th
- Double Occupancy (Shared Room): $1,850
- Single Occupancy (Private Room): $2,450
- Non-820 participants must pay in full by May 15

- Airfare to and from Ghana
- Travel visa
- Required vaccinations and health documentation

Important Travel Requirements & Policy
- Valid passport required
- Ghana visa required
- Required vaccinations must be completed prior to travel

Failure to obtain required travel documentation will result in forfeiture of program fees.
