Students gain practical experience through the TU AI and Robotics Lab, where high-performance computing systems and advanced tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hadoop and Spark simulate real-world environments. Coursework emphasizes hands-on training, from designing scalable machine learning models to processing large-scale datasets and developing ethically sound AI solutions.

Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AIT 510) – This course introduces core AI concepts and modern techniques, including machine learning, deep learning and neural networks. Students gain hands-on experience building intelligent systems and exploring how AI is used in areas such as healthcare, finance and automation. The course helps students develop the problem-solving skills needed to apply AI in real-world settings.

Advanced Machine Learning (AIT 550) – Students study supervised and unsupervised learning, learning theory, graphical models and reinforcement learning. The course builds the mathematical and technical foundation needed to create and improve machine learning models. Students also learn how to evaluate performance and apply machine learning methods to complex problems.

Deep Learning (AIT 650) – This course explores advanced deep learning methods and model architectures, including convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, autoencoders and generative models. Students examine how these approaches are used in areas such as computer vision, medical imaging and natural language processing. The course gives students a deeper experience with the tools and techniques behind today’s most powerful AI systems.

Natural Language Processing (AIT 660) – Students learn the foundations of natural language processing and how AI systems work with human language. Coursework covers topics such as text categorization, sentiment analysis, topic modeling and machine translation. Students also explore the models that support modern language applications and real-world NLP solutions.

Capstone (AIT 685) – In the capstone course, students bring together what they have learned across the program in a substantial project focused on a real-world problem. The experience emphasizes analysis, ethical decision-making, professional communication and practical solution design. Students finish the program by presenting a final project that demonstrates technical mastery and career readiness.
