Tiffin University’s AIPE program is designed to prepare students to tackle real-world challenges by harnessing the power of AI and advanced prompt engineering techniques. This program empowers students to process and analyze complex data, apply cutting-edge algorithms and develop innovative solutions for a variety of practical problems across multiple industries.
In the AIPE program, students will dive deep into the core concepts and theories of artificial intelligence, equipping them with the knowledge needed to excel in data science and AI applications. Ethics in AI (AIP150) – This course delves into the ethical considerations and societal impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Prompt Engineering. Students will explore the complex interplay between technology, ethics and human values as AI systems become more integrated into our lives. Through case studies, discussions and critical analysis, students will examine ethical challenges related to bias, privacy, accountability, transparency and the broader ethical implications of AI decision making. The course aims to equip students with the tools to make informed ethical choices in AI development and deployment.
Human-Computer Interaction (AIP250) – This course explores the interdisciplinary field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which focuses on designing technology interfaces that are intuitive, user-friendly and effective. Students will learn how to create user-centered digital experiences by considering user needs, cognitive processes and usability principles. Through a combination of theoretical concepts, hands-on design exercises and usability testing, students will gain practical insights into interaction design, user interface prototyping and user experience evaluation. The course covers topics such as user-centered design, usability heuristics, interaction design patterns, accessibility and user research methodologies.
Prompt Engineering (AIP 445) – This course offers an immersive and comprehensive exploration of the techniques, strategies and tools required to harness the power of AI-driven text generation. This dynamic course delves into the heart of AI-powered text generation, where students will learn to create sophisticated language models capable of generating human-like text outputs. The course covers the principles and practices of prompt engineering, equipping students with the skills needed to craft precise and effective prompts that yield desired AI-generated responses.
