Meet Shamia Foster, MBA in Healthcare Administration student

What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
After completing my MBA, I became interested in the health field. But I did not have any work experience. I felt that if I added healthcare administration as a concentration it would assist me with landing a future position.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I completed undergrad and grad at Tiffin University. The university is awesome. The curriculum for each course is well planned and structured. All good experiences for me. I wouldn’t want to attend any where else.
What has been your experience with the program so far?
My professor has been awesome. He is very understanding. His courses are well planned and easy to understand. He also schedules class discussion via conference call so we can communicate openly about specified topics. A great experience. I’ve never had any issues with staff.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
My heavenly father keeps watch over me and my determination to provide my son a stable future. I do it for my family.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about going back to school?
Pray on it. If you’re determined enough to complete school then you won’t let anyone hinder. Time management is key. Keep faith and keep pushing.
