What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
I have always been drawn to helping others from a young age. Especially in the field of mental health, I want to help give people the kind of care I needed but didn’t receive.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I wanted to pursue an online degree and after researching I discovered that TU would be the best fit and option for me.
Describe your experience with the program so far.
I personally have not had any issues with the program or technology so far since previously I did do CCP throughout high school as well as 2 years of my bachelor’s at a different university.
The faculty at TU is amazing always so eager to help and be there for the students.
How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?
I will not lie you definitely need to be very driven and focused because this is not an easy task. But it is very worth it in the end.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
Imagining my future self helping people always helps refocus me.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
My advice is to always lead with your heart. I understand that new experiences can be daunting, and fear of failure is common. However, without taking chances, successes wouldn’t feel as rewarding. Embracing change can lead to exciting transformations.
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
I was once a young student terrified of failure. Faced with a challenging situation and few options, I made many mistakes. The one I thought was my biggest failure ultimately set me on the path to graduation, and now I’m on the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA.
