What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

I always wanted to continue my education and earn my MBA. However, a mentor of mine told me it would be beneficial to have some real-life corporate experience before attaining my MBA. It was great advice, since I have been able to apply my decade of experience to the concepts learned in my classes.

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

As someone who was born and raised in Tiffin, I explored Tiffin University as a continuing education option. I compared programs with other institutions and after speaking to administration and alumni, I determined TU to be my best fit. The curriculum and online flexibility of the program was something I needed with my career.

What has been your experience with the program so far?

My experience with the program has been exceptional in all aspects. The curriculum, professors, and advisors have all exceeded my expectations.

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

I think the motivation comes from the ability to apply what I have learned in my MBA to my own professional experiences. I also like learning new things and was motivated to do a double concentration in Finance and Management. I have considered taking additional classes.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about going back to school?

Do it! I worried about the time commitment between work, school, and family. However, I think the ability to balance all my priorities has only made me stronger. Also, the opportunity to apply the concepts learned to your own personal and professional experiences allows for real growth.

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

A few years ago, I took a new opportunity and changed companies. Of course, the new opportunity came with a learning curve and some obstacles. However, it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made relative to my personal and professional growth.
