Student Spotlight: Jazilee Williams, MBA Healthcare Administration

Jazilee Williams, MBA Healthcare Administration

Current occupation: Financial Aid Worker

Why did you choose to attend Tiffin University?

I chose Tiffin University because I understood the culture of the school and loved it. The class sizes were not too big and could get the help I needed. As for the track program, it is an all around amazing experience to be apart of it.

What did you like the most about your time at Tiffin University?

The things I like the most about my time here at Tiffin University was building the friendships that started here. I can say confidently that they will be lasting for quite some time.

Tell us more about your degree program and why you chose that major.

For the undergraduate program, I chose Exercise Science because it will help me in the right direction to pursue my career goal of being a physical therapist. Completing that program helped me prepare for my future. As for my master’s program, I decided to do Healthcare Administration to hopefully land a job in the field and help pay for my education. This would also expand my background on my resume.

Describe your interactions with the faculty and your classmates.

Most of my classes I was very interactive in them. So the faculty would normally recognize me outside of the classroom as well. I am comfortable coming to any of the faculty here for help when it comes to school work or just even making any important life decisions. As for classmates, due to COVID-19 my last academic year was not as much interactive as it was when times were normal. The group projects given were sometimes fun, but stressful and as always communication is key!

What did you go on to do after graduation?

I am working on completing my MBA of Healthcare Administration as of now.

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going to TU?

My advice would be to try not to focus so much on too much fun, and to make sure you are going to your class sessions because most times your friend did not obtain all the information you needed. You can not always rely on someone else to help you and you would have to learn to be more independent. Also, do not be so surprised that you will fall off with the people you made friends with your freshman year because that happens more than you know!

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

I feel that everything you tackle on as soon as you wake up is taking a risk because day by day you will learn something new, especially in college you will grow as a person. You will become more independent, you will gain more personality traits, and you will grow more friendships with others that you probably never thought you would in the first place, just by taking that step out your door you are taking that risk.
