What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
The best way to keep me motivated through my educational journey was to keep going without taking time off while also gaining professional experience in the workforce.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I graduated from Tiffin in 2016 as a Global Leadership Honors major. When I received my MBA at Wayne State University and discovered that Tiffin would be offering a Ph.D. in Global Leadership, I knew that I had to come back to finish my educational journey. This program was the perfect fit for me.
Describe your experience with the program so far.
My experience throughout the program thus far has been excellent. The courses offered, along with the guidance provided by each professor, have been exceptional. The program truly helps to guide you through the dissertation process.
How has your experience been with your cohort and faculty?
My interactions with the faculty at Tiffin have always been exceptional. Attending the Ph.D. Residency was a great way to form personal connections with faculty and understand how individually they can help you through the program.
How are you juggling work, life, and going back to school? Any tips?
I have always been great with time management and balancing work, school, and self-care. Having the opportunity to work remotely has also helped with time dedication. I think it is essential always to find time for yourself and the things you enjoy. Remember that taking care of yourself is just as important as everything else.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
When I set out to complete a goal, I do it to the best of my ability, which has kept me motivated throughout the program. My goal is to have that Ph.D. next to my name, and I am inspired and committed to making it a reality.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
If you are thinking about it, then go for it but make sure it is the right program for you. If you go full-time or part-time, you are taking steps to learn and grow!
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
Upon completing my bachelor’s degree at Tiffin University in 2016, I took the leap and accepted a job offer in NYC and moved to the big apple by myself with no family nearby. This experience allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. My time in NYC was a wonderful experience, and I would encourage others to leave their hometown to gain new experiences.
