What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
I started my pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree back in 2005 but never finished. I’ve always thought about going back to finish what I started, so in 2023 I made the decision.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I chose Tiffin University because its online program looked really accessible, I was able to easily transfer my credits from previous schools, and I was able to utilize the benefits of the TU and Owens Community College partnership.
Describe your experience with the program so far.
I was a little anxious to start but easily fell into a routine and it’s been smooth sailing ever since!
Thus far I have been able to connect with multiple peers in my classes through discussions and group projects. My Professors have all been great so far.
How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?
It is a lot, it’s hard, but it is doable. You need to set guidelines for yourself and stick to them.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
My motivation is the finish line. I want to reach it for myself and my family.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
It’s scary to venture into the unknown, but just take that jump! In the end, it is worth it and there are so many people at Tiffin University to help you on your way.
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
Life is all about taking risks. It can be tricky sometimes but what we gain is worth it. Recently I changed career paths. I worked somewhere for almost 10 years but took the risk and am going to start somewhere new. I’m nervous but I know in the end, it’ll all be worth it!
