What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

I have always had a passion for helping others. Learning about Psychology and pursuing it in my career has helped me find a purpose in my work!

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

Tiffin felt like home to me. I loved the small school setting and I truly believe it helped me succeed. I made so many academic and close friendships that I will always be deeply appreciative of.

Describe your experience with the program so far.

The program has opened my knowledge to so many concepts and discussions that will be with me for a lifetime. The technology was easy to navigate and my professors were always able to help me.

Describe your interactions with your cohort and faculty?

My interactions with faculty was always friendly. They made my days at Tiffin so much more enjoyable!

How are you juggling work, life, and going back to school? Any tips?

My biggest tip would be to keep an agenda so you are able to plan your assignments and other priorities. Also, always taking care of yourself. Your mental health is always important and reaching out when you need it because there are so many faculty and resources on campus that are there for you!

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

My passion in helping others definitely keeps me motivated. Everything I learned in my time at TU was knowledge I knew would be beneficial for my future endeavors which made my education so much easier for me to stay motivated.

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

It’s never too late! Prioritizing and pursuing your education further is something that will only lead you to new experiences and new opportunities!

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

When I was looking for internships, I decided to work with a program that I knew would be challenging. I was nervous to experience it and had reservations that maybe I wasn’t ready, but I learned so many things and realized that my courses Tiffin had prepared me more than I could’ve imagined. I am so glad I challenged myself because I became a better student and individual because of it.
