Ryon Resner, MBA in Finance student

Current occupation: Corporate Quality Assurance – Food & Beverage Manufacturing

What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

I decided to pursue my masters degree to help me become more well rounded and a better leader. In the world of manufacturing there are many facets and plenty to learn. By pursuing my degree in business, I was able to focus on my weakest link and specialize in finance and accounting. When all is said and done I hope to become a leader in my field and drive change via the knowledge and learnings I obtained while at Tiffin University.

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

Obviously Tiffin University has a long history of excellence. From the great feedback from current students to the wide selection of online programs, it made sense to pick such a great school to take my education and career to the next level.

What has been your experience with the program so far?

My experience thus far in the program has been great, being remote has its challenges but the staff has been very cooperative, helpful and even show a high level of urgency when needed. All my questions and requests are answered quickly and thoroughly and have helped me tremendously in my journey by allowing me to focus on the material rather than the small details. The teaching staff is caring and supportive and provides great feedback and assistance.

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

Although working full time and completing this program is no easy task, the quality of the courses and the material keep me motivated and wanting to learn more. I always look forward to the next course and in all honestly might be sad when it is all over!

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about going back to school?

Give it a shot! It is intimidating at first, but take it in small steps. Don’t overdo it up front, start small and then build up from there. Going back to school requires remembering or even learning new routines and habits, build those routines up and the rest will fall into place. Believe me, it’s worth the effort and time!
