What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
I have always loved caring for people and the way they are treated. Seeing so many ill-managed physicians offices and hospitals, I wanted to get on the inside to help better the care of the individuals.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I was searching online and Tiffin had everything that I was looking for in getting my degree.
What was your experience like with your program?
I had such a wonderful experience! I literally went from barely knowing how to turn a computer on to earning my two year degree in 18 months. The faculty were absolutely amazing! I was always able to reach out when I needed help immediately.
How did you juggle work, life and going back to school?
It was very difficult but that’s why I loved Tiffin so much. BUT with the flexibility in class schedules, I could work on my class work when everyone was asleep.
What kept you motivated to stay in the program?
The assignments and class interactions were very interesting.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
DO IT!! It’s never too late and you’re never too old!! I drove 4 1/2 hours to walk a college graduation I thought I’d never have! Anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
First I took a risk at purchasing a laptop and signing up classes (which turned into a degree) to graduating college with a 3.5 GPA and making the Dean’s list a couple times. And from that risk I now have a job that I started out making $19,000 a year to promoting in a company within 2 years and making $40,000 a year.
