What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

As an asthmatic person, I was always inclined to learn ways to strengthen the body and elevate human functioning.

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

Tiffin University truly wants you to succeed. The professors, staff, and advisors are invested in your journey—you just have to put in the time and effort.

Describe your experience with the program so far.

The program’s embrace of AI technology has been a game-changer, helping me develop advanced machine learning and algorithm creation skills. I was surprised to see this progressive approach, especially in the clinical field.

Dr. McCabe and Dr. Berry are exceptional. Dr. McCabe’s expertise in cardiac rehab and EKG interpretation and Dr. Berry’s focus on environmental physiology and hydration have shaped my learning. They also opened doors for teaching and research opportunities that have transformed my career.

How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?

Time management is everything! My routine: wake up at 5 a.m. to work out, go to work until 5 p.m., study, and repeat. Break tasks down, stay disciplined, and remember—professors are understanding and will help if you ask for it.

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

This program has opened countless doors for me. I earned 10 certifications through ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NASM, and ISSA. I gained experience in cardiac, pulmonary, vestibular, and neuromuscular rehab and even worked as a Clinical Diagnostic Manager before landing my current role. None of this would be possible without Tiffin University.

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

Do it! Without risk, there is no reward.

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, finding a job or continuing school felt impossible. I took the leap to pursue my education and certifications despite the uncertainty—and it paid off. I finished the program with a 4.0 GPA and landed a flexible, rewarding career. I work from my house treating patients with the power of AI and the knowledge of Clinical Exercise Physiology!
