What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

My willingness to learn and continue to grow. I have always enjoyed school and learning. I obtained a full-time job at Tiffin University, receiving tuition benefits, so I took the opportunity to continue on my Master’s degree!

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

Tiffin University has always been home to me; from growing up in the community and on campus, my mother is an alumnus, obtaining my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This was the only place for me to pursue my educational goals!

Describe your experience with the program so far.

Tiffin University’s Online MBA is excellent. I had the opportunity to utilize the online platform during my Bachelor’s degree, so I was familiar with the platform and assignment schedule. Moodle is beyond user-friendly, and the online platform is great for an adult working full-time – I can go in anytime I have free time and work on assignments!

Tiffin University has some fantastic people. The reason I decided to stay to go to school and work here was the people! The faculty members are truly outstanding, and I mean that. They genuinely care about your understanding and success in the course.

How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?

The online program allows for flexibility! I work on assignments in the evenings and/or weekends when I have time, and I have NEVER missed a deadline! You quickly learn and adapt to your routine, and the coursework becomes part of that routine!

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

Knowing that the degree is waiting for me. That end goal of pursuing the degree and utilizing this information was always the driving factor to keep me going!

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

DO IT! Personally, I started my Master’s right off of my Bachelor’s degree. I took one semester off in between, and I genuinely think this helped me. If you have ANY thoughts of going back to school, do it. You will thank yourself later for it! Tiffin University’s degree programs and offerings are genuinely great. You have people who help along the way, and it can be done!

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

I had just graduated with my Bachelor’s degree and was offered TWO full-time jobs at different employers within the field of Human Resources. Ultimately, I took the risk and accepted the position that felt right, and it was the best decision I made! I gained lifelong connections/networks, learned and grew, obtained life skills, and, most importantly, family.
