What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
I had the opportunity to get my degree using employer reimbursement and knew I couldn’t turn down the chance. Creative writing has always been my passion so I was ecstatic to pursue a degree in it.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
It was covered under my employer reimbursement.
Describe your experience with the program, your cohort and faculty?
I loved my Creative Writing program. It was interesting and taught me so many different mediums to use for creative writing. I loved sharing my stories with my friends and family. The advisors were also amazing to work with and very supportive.
The professors were all very supportive and quick to answer any questions I had. My fellow classmates were also encouraging and great at giving constructive criticism to make my writing shine even brighter.
How did you juggle work, life, and going back to school? Any tips?
Utilizing any spare time for schooling proved beneficial for me. I prioritized academic pursuits by setting aside less important tasks. While it was challenging initially, over time, I managed to establish a routine that suited me best.
What kept you motivated to stay in the program?
I honestly just loved the program and never needed to stay motivated to complete the program. Certain assignments left me mentally exhausted but knowing that at the end of it was a degree kept me going.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
If you are going back to school, make sure it is because you want to and not because you are being pressured by outside influences. Your degree is for you.

Pursuing my Master’s degree felt like a leap of faith! Doubts loomed large in my mind, especially when it came to applying for admission. Overcoming the mental barrier was the toughest part. But guess what? I took the plunge, and now, I’m in a better place than ever, holding that coveted degree!
