My name is Kyleigh Lash. I am pursuing my Bachelor’s of Business Administration at Tiffin University.
I chose Tiffin University because, as a Terra State Community College graduate, the DragonNext program was a really easy transition for me. Also, their online options were just unmatched. They took everything. At my first four-year college, I tried different things, and I switched my major. Being able to use those credits after I thought, was like, man, I just wasted all this time and all this money. They [Tiffin University] took it, and they made something with it, which was awesome. And this just made it an easy choice for me.
I was a little nervous looking at online classes. I didn’t know if that was something that would work for me. But it’s been really an easy transition. The technology they use is just really user-friendly. And the instructors always have the availability to answer any questions if there is any issue.
What makes me stay motivated to continue the program is: I decided not to go full-time, which was kind of a good decision on my end, just because of everything I’m doing at home and with work. And that’s the nice part about this cohort program: seven weeks, get a week off, and then another seven weeks. It keeps the momentum going for me, which I need. It seems like you’re going to be rushed, but really, it’s a really good program.
Since I’ve started at Tiffin, we’ve had a lot of management and leadership classes. It’s not just being good at your job, and then you’ll move up, and you’ll be good at leading people. That’s not how that works. There’s the whole new skill that you have to learn to become a leader and a good leader. So Tiffany University has really made that clear for me and made it easier for me to pursue that leadership role in the future of my career.
