What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
It is my goal to become a certified general appraiser and pursue real estate with the hopes of opening my own office.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
I chose TU because it is close to home. They also offered the classes online that I wanted to pursue.
Describe your experience with the program so far.
So far my classes have been very manageable. I was very impressed with my workload and it wasn’t overbearing. All of my instructors have been amazing to work with! Anytime I have had questions or concerns, they answered them quickly.
How are you juggling work, life, and going back to school? Any tips?
I have found that with juggling a job and a family it is best to do homework once everyone goes to bed or early in the morning before work. It works best that way for me since there aren’t any distractions.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
My children keep me motivated in school. I want them to look up to their mom and be proud at what I’ve done for them.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
My best advice is do it as soon as you can and don’t put it off. If you think about it a lot then pursue your dreams.
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
Honestly, the risk I took was deciding to go to TU. I wasn’t sure how I could juggle my job, my children, our farm and going to school. I have a year down in school and I’m getting closer to finishing my degree. If I never took the risk I wouldn’t be getting my degree in a couple years.
