What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?
I just wanted to come back to school and accomplish a Master’s degree. I wanted to do something that would make me feel happy and proud.
Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?
Tiffin University had the best program to fit into my schedule and it is close to home!
Describe your experience with the program so far.
I had a ton of anxiety when I was starting the MS Psychology program. It has been a while since being in my Under-grad, so transitioning to a completely online program was a bit nerve wracking. After a couple of weeks everything made sense and the technology is easy to use and navigate. I was honestly worried for nothing!
Describe your experience with your cohort and faculty?
Everyone has been fantastic and extremely helpful. Many times I have had email conversations, text messages, or phone conversations with fellow students or my instructors. Everyone wants to help each other succeed.
How are you juggling work, life, and going back to school? Any tips?
One day at a time. Be patient with yourself and know you are doing the best you can. Also, make sure that you take time to do the things that make you happy and help you to keep your mind off of the stress for awhile.
What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?
My overall drive to do well and my interest in learning about the field of Psychology.
What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?
Take the chance and follow your gut! If it is something you are passionate about, you are bound to succeed!
TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?
I think that we take risks in every new decision we make for our future. Taking the risk to apply for the Master’s program or starting a new job without any prior experience. These are both scary and exciting new things that can end up changing our lives forever.
