AffordableCollegesOnline.org has issued its 2018 ranking of the Best Online Colleges in Ohio. Colleges and universities on the list offer ambitious, affordable virtual learning programs. Four-year schools earning places in the top five were Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Tiffin University, University of Toledo, Ohio State University-Main Campus, and Ohio University-Main Campus. Top ranked two-year schools were Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Columbus State Community College, Sinclair Community College, Clark State Community College, and Edison State Community College.
“Distance and online learning opportunities can be critical for students,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and Founder of AffordableCollegesOnline.org. “Earning a degree that might otherwise be out of reach, because you can now afford to go to school, is a game-changer in the higher education space.”
Supported by data managed by the National Center for Education Statistics, the metrics AffordableCollegesOnline.org considered for this ranking range from student-teacher ratio to availability of direct financial aid to the average in-state tuition. All schools are required to be accredited public or private non-for-profit institutions.
