What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

What made me pursue this degree as an adult was to show to my daughters that it doesn’t matter the age. When you’re dedicated to accomplish something, all you need is time and dedication to get it done.

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

I chose Tiffin University because it has a great online course and I needed something flexible that worked with my busy schedule!

Describe your experience with the program so far.

My experience with the program so far has been great I have no complaints! Something that made me anxious at the beginning was having to basically make a schedule to get the work done. Since it’s an online program I don’t have a class to attend weekly. It is more of having to be disciplined to get the work done and learn on your own through books. The technology is easy to use. It has been very great.

My interactions with the faculty has been great with the teachers or counselors I have had to talk to through my journey here at Tiffin.

How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?

I am currently juggling school and family. Although it might not be easy, especially having also a toddler, I know at the end it will all be worth it.

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

My family is what keeps me motivated in the program! Without them I don’t know I would’ve had the drive to continue semester after semester.

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

Advice I would give a student thinking about going back to school is to just do it. It will never be easy, but there is no better feeling when it’s your senior year like me and that you’re nearly to the end! Just stay focused and ask for help when needed! You got this! Let’s do this together!

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

A time I took a risk was getting pregnant and having to take some time off from school while I attended to my second baby. Although it was a big risk and maybe put me a little behind, it was worth it because I gained more strength to continue and gave myself the mental space or break that I needed at the moment to come back stronger and go harder.
