What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

I realized as an adult, there are many opportunities that will become available for those who have earned a degree. Working for a Billion dollar cooperation has provided me with the opportunity to understand how valuable a degree really is!

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

I chose Tiffin University because of the structured and organized admissions process. My admissions counselor was very professional and equipped me with all the necessary information needed to be a successful student on my first day of classes. Tiffin University has a structured and informative online website that provides thorough information regarding your degree of choice.

Describe your experience with the program so far.

The program has exceeded my expectations. The professors are knowledgeable and provide quality education. There are not many colleges that offer a Psychology degree program online; choosing Tiffin allowed me to pursue my chosen field and gave me the flexibility to be a working professional at the same time.

My interactions have been pleasant. Faculty and staff at Tiffin University are always willing to contribute to growth and success of a student. The culture at Tiffin University has been warm and welcoming!

How are you juggling work, life and going back to school? Any tips?

Juggling work and school has become a consistent process. I work during the day and during my lunch breaks I am able to get some school work done. After my work shift ends I am able to finish my school work. Anything is possible when you are motivated!

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

I am motivated by the career advancement opportunities I will have once I earn my degree. Knowing that there is a greater opportunity for an increase in salary by earning a degree has kept me motivated. Tiffin University has a reputable reputation and by graduating from an accredited college, I know the opportunities are endless!

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

The advice I would give is just do it because time is of the essence! Time is more valuable than money and the time spent to earn a degree is well worth any risk you can take!

TU’s motto is: Without risk there is no gain. Can you tell us about a time when you took a risk and what you gained from it?

I took a risk by switching career industries. In my early adulthood, I was a nursing student and made the decision to stop attending nursing school. I then pursued a career in the insurance industry which has given me the opportunity to learn the business structure of organizations. At the time of leaving nursing school, I felt I was making a bad decision however I have met some influential business leaders in my current career and I am personally satisfied with knowing I have the privilege of being successful in any career I choose. Those business leaders have motivated me to continue to influence and impact others around me. “You are the author of your life, with every decision, is a story to be told!” – Kirlinsia Taylor
