I am a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and went to Ohio Northern University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communication Studies with a minor in social media. I worked in healthcare public relations and marketing for three years before moving into higher education.

As an undergraduate student at Ohio Northern, I was heavily involved in helping new and prospective students get acquainted with the university, so becoming an admissions counselor was a great fit. When I decided to switch careers, I relied on my professional network, including my professors, to help get my foot in the door. Fortunately, this led me to TU.

I am inspired by the students and their personal journeys, and I enjoy getting to know them through the application process and helping them find their fit at TU. Helping people bring their passion, journey and future together is very rewarding.

As a fairly recent graduate myself, I remember how many questions I had about school and how to prepare. I tell students not to be afraid to ask questions about anything – the more answers you have, the more comfortable you will be.

Away from work, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my friends and family, visiting Grand Rapids and watching college football and basketball. In the summer, you’ll find me at the beach!
