I have worked with graduate students in some capacity for more than 10 years. Shortly after graduating from Heidelberg College in 2007, I came to Tiffin University as an admissions counselor. I moved into an advisor role, then was promoted to the director’s position a few years later.

I love my job and the students at TU. I enjoy talking to them, helping them understand what it will take to reach their goals and seeing them succeed. Finding the best program and plan for each person’s unique situation is incredibly rewarding. In the end, watching students walk across the stage at graduation tops it off!

The best thing I can say to students is, “You can do it!” Your pace, plan and education may be different from everyone else’s, but that doesn’t mean it is wrong. TU is here to help each student reach his or her goals, whatever they are.

TU definitely helped me when I decided to pursue my MBA in Leadership. I’m proud to say I finished my graduate degree with my third child on the way! Fortunately, I’m good at time management and I had an incredibly supportive family, but I couldn’t have done it without help from the TU faculty, staff and fellow students.

Away from work, I love being with my family and we’re usually outdoors. We hike, swim, play sports and spend time at the lake. They also cheer me on as I help coach the TU men’s and women’s cross-country and track teams. I think it’s safe to say we’re Dragons for life!
