Taylor Rabold, Master of Humanities in Communications student

Current occupation: State of Ohio – Legislative Bill Preparation Assistant

What made you decide to pursue your degree as an adult?

Our world is changing around us in such a frantic pace that if we do not continue to grow and develop; we will soon be left behind. After graduation from undergrad, it was easy to work everyday and stay in my comfort zone. However, in the 21st century, I think we all need to develop a “lifelong learner attitude.” We need to continually keep our skills sharp and up to date so that we have an edge in all we do, thus I decided to embark on my journey at Tiffin and continue my education in the Masters of Humanities – Communications program.

I chose Tiffin because of the convenience from the online program and the low tuition cost, plain and simple.

Why did you choose to study at Tiffin University?

I chose Tiffin because of the convenience from the online program and the low tuition cost, plain and simple.

What has been your experience with the program so far?

While I have just begun this new adventure this semester, I am excited to see what the future holds. I believe the sky is the limit because the faculty have been extremely helpful, cooperative, and supportive.

What keeps you motivated to stay in the program?

I have always been a motivated person and once I set a goal, I go all out to achieve it. I am motivated to stay in this program because I know the end result will be worth it and it will open new doors for opportunities to advance in my career.

What advice would you give to a prospective student who is thinking about going back to school?

I would advise prospective students to think about their passions and how potential programs connect with their desired career. Additionally, always consider cost. The burden of student loans can be overwhelming and most students don’t fully understand how it works, until they’re graduated and 6 months later they get a bill in the mail.
